We Built Chalat Because Learning AI Shouldn't Feel Overwhelming
Our mission is to make machine learning and AI development accessible to anyone willing to put in steady, thoughtful effort — without the noise, the rush, or the pressure.
Back to HomeHow Chalat Came to Be
Chalat was founded in Bangkok by a small group of engineers and educators who noticed a gap in how technical education was being delivered across Southeast Asia. Courses were either too fast-paced for working professionals, too theoretical without practical projects, or simply not available in English at an accessible level.
We started Chalat in 2019 with one guiding idea: that the people most likely to succeed in AI and machine learning are not necessarily the fastest learners, but the most consistent ones. We designed our programs around that belief.
Today, Chalat serves learners throughout Thailand and beyond — people who are curious about AI, who have the patience to learn it properly, and who want clear guidance every step of the way.
Our Mission
To offer AI and machine learning education that respects each learner's pace, builds genuine understanding, and prepares people for real work in the field — without unnecessary pressure or hype.
Our Values
- Clarity above complexity — we explain things plainly, even when the topic is technical
- Patience as a method — good understanding takes the time it takes
- Practical first — every lesson connects to something you can actually build
Who Guides Your Learning
Our team blends engineering experience with a genuine interest in teaching — and a lot of patience for questions.
Nattapong Krairat
Lead Instructor — AI & ML
A former data engineer who moved into teaching after realising that most AI courses moved too quickly for most people. Nattapong designs all three Chalat programs and reviews learner work personally.
Siriwan Thongchai
Curriculum Developer
Siriwan brings a background in both software development and adult education. She ensures each module builds logically on the last and that the written materials are genuinely easy to follow.
Anurak Phomchai
Learner Support Lead
Anurak handles day-to-day communication with learners, coordinates mentor feedback, and makes sure no question goes unanswered for long. He's the first person most learners speak to at Chalat.
How We Maintain Quality Across Every Program
Reviewed Curriculum
All program content is reviewed by a working ML practitioner before release. We update materials when tools or approaches change in the field.
Mentor-Led Feedback
Exercises and projects are reviewed by a mentor, not automated tools. Feedback is written with care and tailored to each learner's work.
Data Privacy
We collect only what is needed to deliver your program and communicate with you. Learner data is stored securely and is never sold or shared without your knowledge.
Ongoing Content Updates
AI and machine learning move quickly. We review our programs twice a year to keep examples and libraries current, so you're learning tools that are actually in use.
Accessible Delivery
Materials are written for screen reader compatibility, with sufficient colour contrast and clear structure throughout — so learning is comfortable regardless of how you access content.
Realistic Scope
Each program is scoped so that a part-time learner can complete it without burning out. We'd rather you finish something properly than rush through it and retain very little.
Building AI Literacy in Thailand, One Learner at a Time
Thailand's technology sector is expanding, and there's growing demand for people who understand how machine learning systems are built and evaluated. That demand is real — but the path to meeting it doesn't have to be chaotic. At Chalat, we focus on helping learners develop a solid foundation rather than rushing toward credentials.
Our programs cover Python programming, data preparation, model building, model evaluation, and — in the Professional AI Track — deployment practices. Each topic is introduced with clear explanations, worked examples, and small exercises that build toward something practical. We don't assume prior knowledge, and we don't move on until the current topic makes sense.
We operate in English because that's the language most AI and ML documentation is written in, and we want learners to feel comfortable reading it directly — not through translation. Over time, this builds a kind of fluency that serves learners well beyond the program itself.
If you're based in Bangkok or elsewhere in Thailand, or you're simply looking for a calm and structured way to enter the field of AI development, Chalat was built with you in mind.
